Make a joyful noise

Dear friends. I'm increasingly reminded of the words of Canadian composer, Paul Halley, who told our choir once at the end of a lackluster rehearsal, "Make a joyful noise!" These are trying times. Confusing. These are times where each of us is trying to do what we can to understand what we're seeing and feeling. And we're all doing our best to focus and make a positive impact amidst a sea of frustration and anger. I feel the need to get out and do what I'm good at, even if it only helps in minor ways. I know that all of you are approaching life with a similar spirit, and that's why I'm reaching out to you first. Over many years I've learned the art of bringing people together and creating a joyful and positive atmosphere that feels like a celebration of something, even if it's just a moment. There are so many great projects out there and so many great people involved in inspiring endeavors. I'd like to help them. There is not a single one of you who isn't already supporting multiple causes, and so I don't take this proposal lightly. And yet I ask you to join the band and me to empower our music, with its own particular energy of love and hope, so that environmental and educational causes big and small can benefit from our joyful noise.

Música Helps will focus its efforts in 2025 on organizing 3 benefit tours in the USA, roughly speaking spring, summer and fall of 2026. Winter 2026 will be dedicated to recording a special EP, a compilation of favorite covers from the 60s and 70s dedicated to my mom who is having some memory issues. 

By supporting Música Helps you can ensure that our music is able to superpower worthy causes, opening doors especially to smaller organizations who are reluctant to hold fundraising events and benefit shows due to the costs. All of our causes are in the environmental and educational realms, and all of our causes will be carefully vetted before we engage. By becoming a Funding Fan, you'll empower our music and thereby empower dozens of worthy causes each year. And, of course, if you want Música Helps to support a cause of your choosing, we'll be there!

Funding fans who contribute $5000 or more will be entitled to the following:

• 1 acoustic house concert - this can be transferred to friends and family.
• 1 personalized recorded version of any karaoke track, adapted lyrics included. Makes for a great gift!  Ask us for samples.
• Recognition in the cover notes of our new EP
